Today is commemorated with a demonstration against the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
VIVAnews - Thousands of Palestinians and activists gathered in various areas to commemorate the Nakba, or disaster day, day of birth of the state of Israel. Various clashes between the activists by Israeli soldiers coloring this warning.
Reporting from Al Jazeera page, Sunday, May 15, 2011, the largest mass concentrations occur near the Qalandiya refugee camp, near the entrance to the West Bank from Israel. They fly the Palestinian flag, carrying banners and slogans calling for Palestinian unity. The artists also take action theatrical shows suffering of the Palestinians after Israel was formed. Some others draw the border wall with pictures of the struggle.
"We came to strengthen Palestinian national unity and to inform the world that we reserve the right to return (to which Israel captured Palestinian land), which is a sacred right and we will not retreat," said Sa'eed Kurayem, chairman of the Palestinian Artists union, reported by from page to Xinhua.
Kurayem also said that the Palestinians will maintain the reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah is still running. The promised unity government will also be supported and protected its formation by the people.
Action in Gaza was also attended by dozens of children. They wear distinctive clothing to show Palestinian culture seemingly everlasting suffering. These children are sure one day the Palestinians will return peace to a time when their grandparents are still alive.
According to news agency reports Iran's Press TV, the action Nakba day was attended by tens of thousands of people all over Palestine.To secure this action, as many as 10,000 Israeli troops deployed in the West Bank cities, such as Ramallah, Hebron, Nablus, Bethlehem, Tulkarem and Qalqiya. Dozens of people were detained by Israeli soldiers over the alleged perpetrators of violence.
Nakba Day is the name of Palestinians to Israeli-born May 14, 1948 last. On that day, as many as 760,000 Palestinians out of his homeland. Some of them fled to Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and several others living in refugee camps.
